How It Works

Getting Started

To begin using the service, please call or email the Transportation Coordinator to complete the required intake process.

This helps us understand your needs and ensure your safety.

What to Expect

Our service area for rides generally extends north to Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Lebanon and south to Concord Hospital.

A friendly volunteer will pick you up at your door and take you to your destination.

Important Guidelines

Please provide as much advance notice as possible for ride requests. This allows us time to match your request with an available volunteer driver.

While we do our best to accommodate everyone, we cannot guarantee that every ride request can be filled.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign up for the service?

Getting started is easy! Simply call our Transportation Coordinator, Karen Lester, at (603) 526-6368.

She will guide you through a brief intake process over the phone to get you registered for the service.

How much notice do I need to give for a ride request?

We kindly request as much advance notice as possible, preferably at least a few days. This gives us the best chance to find an available volunteer to match your needs.

While we try to accommodate last-minute requests, we cannot guarantee them.

Is there really no cost for the rides?

That’s correct! Our transportation service is completely free for eligible riders.

The program runs on the generosity of our community volunteers who donate their time and vehicle use, and through the support of the Chapin Senior Center.
